AirXcel Ltd. is a husband and wife-run aviation maintenance company founded in early 2025. Benji has a huge range of experience on many types of aircraft and a passion for the aviation industry, and Jess has completed business studies to support admin needs.
Benji trained in the NZ Airforce and stayed for 6 years, completing his license exams. He then worked as a LAME for a general aviation company for 4 years. Benji also has experience working for Airbus and then Jet Aviation on the NZDF contracts servicing King Air B200 and B350’s.
Most recently, Benji & Jess spent 6 years in Papua New Guinea working for a Christian aviation aid organisation (Mission Aviation Fellowship) where Benji was Chief Engineer of a large engineering team and a fleet of 11 Cessna Caravans.
We are excited about getting back into the NZ aviation industry and providing safe and reliable maintenance to our GA communities.
